Carbon fiber rod Application Practice of GPS in Spacecraft Structure
Carbon fiber rod is a kind of high-performance reinforcement material, which has been widely used in spacecraft structures due to its high strength, high stiffness and light weight. 1、 Characteristics of carbon fiber rod
Carbon fiber bar is a kind of reinforced material made of carbon fiber reinforced resin or other matrix materials, which has the following characteristics: ① high strength: the strength of carbon fiber bar is 5~10 times higher than that of steel, and 2~5 times higher than that of aluminum; ② High rigidity: the rigidity of carbon fiber bar is 6 times higher than that of steel with the same weight; ③ Lightweight: the density of carbon fiber bar is only 1/4 of steel and 1/3 of aluminum; ④ Corrosion resistance: carbon fiber rod is not easy to be corroded by chemicals and has good corrosion resistance; ⑤ Good electrical insulation: the electrical insulation of carbon fiber rod is better than that of metal.
2、 Application of carbon fiber rod in spacecraft structure
Reinforcements
The high strength, high rigidity and light weight of carbon fiber bar make it an ideal reinforcement material. In spacecraft structure, carbon fiber rods are often used to strengthen some key parts, such as rudder, fuselage, etc.

Electrical insulating materials
